About the Project

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has initiated a multistate research project aimed at enhancing mental well-being among school and college students and the website has been developed under this project.

This three-year project, being undertaken across eight sites—Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan— involves collaboration with the Departments of Education and Health in these regions. The primary goal is to develop evidence-based, scalable, and sustainable models to improve mental health of students at higher secondary and college levels.By raising awareness about common mental health concerns, destigmatizing help-seeking, promoting self-help, peer support and early intervention, the project aims to create a positive impact on students’ well-being.

Note: This website is designed and maintained by National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) and International Institutue of Information Technology (IIITB), Bengaluru, with funding support from ICMR for the above mentioned project and content-contributions from various sites.
